The Life Currency’s $100 Weekend Challenge: Dahlia
Now that summer is here, and we’re officially back outside, we are so excited for all of the activities we either hadn’t been able to do or just missed out on in the past couple of years. Considering inflation and the fact that we’re always trying to be smart about our coins, we decided to challenge our team at TLC to all take part in a $100 weekend challenge. Would you be able to spend less than $100 in one weekend, or do you think you’d fail miserably?
Keep reading to see how our writer Dahlia Duncan fared with the challenge, and stay tuned over the next few weeks to see if our other team members passed or failed the challenge.

Did you meet the challenge? Why or why not?
No, well not technically I guess. I probably should not have gone to get the pizza on Saturday, but the American Honey with a root beer is my go-to comfort food, and always worth it.
What was the easiest part of this challenge? The hardest part?
Easiest: Filled up my tank Friday so I didn’t have to count the cost of gas in my final total! Also, finally doing leisurely activities that were different and brought me peace.
Hardest: Not overpacking my day with free things on purpose so I can win the challenge.
What did you learn from this challenge? What was the biggest takeaway?
That I need to plan to do free things regularly. I really value moments that are fun and don’t cost me any money, plus it was peaceful! I also need to stick to my budget better!
Would you be willing to do this challenge again? Why or why not?
I want to turn this into a “how can I have fun and not overspend during the week” type of challenge!
Anything else you want to share?
I want to try again. It was fun and a couple of my friends tried too!
