#SquadGoals: Why Your Friends Can Make Or Break You

Social media has coined #SquadGoals as an inspirational term for a person’s idealized friend group. Although this hashtag has recently gained attention by the media, squads have been around for ages. The most iconic duos and trios can be traced all the way back to our ancestors and even groups such as Destiny’s Child who went on to make history.

Here are four benefits of forming a power squad:

  1. You Are Goal-Getters

The most iconic squads consist of change makers, dream chasers and hustlers. Surrounding yourself with an ambitious group of like-minded friends constantly reminds you of your own goals and pushes you to achieve them.

2. Giving Up Is Not An Option

When life knocks you to your knees, your friends are there to pick you back up. Even during your darkest moments, your squad can somehow always see the light at the end of the tunnel. They push you to find your inner warrior and help turn all of those lemons into a fresh cup of lemonade!

3. They Are Your Cheerleaders

The road to success is bumpy and may have a few unexpected twists and turns. However, no matter how hard it gets, your friends are always on the sidelines cheering you on. Even in the face of adversity and competition, you can always hear your squad in the stands chanting your name just a little louder than the rest.

4. You Win Together

Reaching new milestones in life and accomplishing goals is much more satisfying when you have someone to celebrate with. The climb to the top has a nice view, but it can get lonely after awhile. Remember that the best squads don’t just show up at the peak of your success; they climb the mountain with you.
